# Calendar

The calendar allows [Events](/api-reference/calendar/calendar-events.md) to be categorized and then assigned to relevant [Departments](/api-reference/departments.md).

You can create any number of [Calendars](/api-reference/calendar/calendars.md) to categorize [Events](/api-reference/calendar/calendar-events.md). Each [Calendar](/api-reference/calendar/calendars.md) can be assigned a different color to differentiate the [Events](/api-reference/calendar/calendar-events.md) in different [Calendars](/api-reference/calendar/calendars.md).
